Working for Mandurah
Mandurah is my home, and I’m committed to helping make it an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
For me, that means listening to our community, protecting what makes Mandurah special and making sure our growing city has the facilities, spaces and opportunities people deserve.
Supporting our schools and young people
Strong local schools are at the heart of strong communities.
I’m proud to serve as Chair of the Riverside Education Support Centre School Board and as a member of the Coodanup College School Board.
These roles give me the opportunity to stay closely connected with our local schools, families and young people, and to support inclusive, high-quality public education in Mandurah.
Better parks, playgrounds and community spaces
As a dad of two, I know how important good public spaces are for families.
I’m committed to seeing our parks, playgrounds, foreshores and reserves properly maintained and continually improved. I’ve been a strong advocate for the redevelopment of the Coodanup Foreshore and want to see continued investment in the places that bring our community together.
Protecting Mandurah’s waterways, wetlands and natural environment is an important part of that too.
Sport plays a huge role in bringing people together and keeping our community active and connected.
I’ve strongly supported investment in Mandurah’s netball facilities and continue to advocate for better sporting and recreation infrastructure across our city.
As Mandurah grows, our community facilities need to grow with us.
Celebrating Mandurah’s arts and culture
I’ve always had a strong connection to the arts. As a photographer myself, I know the value creativity brings to a community and I love being involved with Mandurah’s diverse and talented arts community.
I’m proud to serve as the Council representative on the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre Board and to support the artists, performers, organisations and events that make our city such a vibrant place to live.
A safer, stronger and more connected city
Whether it’s community safety, protecting neighbourhood amenity, supporting local jobs or improving the places we share, I want residents to know they have someone who will listen and advocate for them.
That has included working with residents to advocate for the extension of sound walls as part of the Mandurah Estuary Bridge duplication, helping ensure local voices were heard.
I’m committed to being active, approachable and transparent, and to working alongside our community to build a safer, stronger and more inclusive Mandurah.
I’m proud to call Mandurah home, and excited about what we can achieve together.
Mandurah has been part of my life for more than 35 years. I spent childhood holidays here before my family made Mandurah home when I was 11, settling in Halls Head after my dad opened a local exhaust shop.
I grew up here, went to school here and got my first job here as a press photographer. Today, I’m raising my own family in Dudley Park, and my children are growing up and going to school in the same community that shaped me.
That connection to Mandurah means a lot to me. I know our city, I love what makes it special, and I care deeply about its future.
I’m incredibly proud to represent the community I call home and to have the opportunity to give something back to a place that has given me so much.
Above all, I want Mandurah to remain a place where local kids and families have every opportunity to thrive, and where the next generation can be just as proud to call our city home.
